Model, units and limitations

Nodes = sites × nodes/site. Annual incidents = nodes ÷ 100 × monthly incident rate × 12. Scenario MTTR = current MTTR × (1 − reduction) when AI-assisted assurance is enabled. Downtime value = annual incidents × MTTR change × the business impact per incident-hour.

Dispatch value = annual incidents × dispatch share × dispatch reduction × dispatch cost when remote checks are enabled. Annual service cost = sites × monthly cost/site × 12. Recurring value = downtime value + dispatch value − annual service cost. First-year ROI = (benefits − annual service cost − setup) ÷ (annual service cost + setup) × 100. Payback = setup ÷ positive recurring value × 12 months.

Alarm-noise suppression changes the displayed alarm count only; it is not counted as another financial benefit. Enter an impact cost that excludes field-dispatch cost to avoid double-counting. The model assumes benefits start immediately and excludes tax, financing, ramp-up, overlapping incidents and unmodelled dependencies. The MTTR and dispatch improvements must be tested against real baselines.
