LAN Transformation & Network Deployment Services

Coordinate site work, migration support and operational handover across your estate.

LAN Transformation / Hands & Feet

How we help

We provide field engineering and Hands & Feet support for multi-site LAN transformation programmes across Australia and New Zealand. Our onsite teams work with your remote network specialists to survey, install, migrate and validate the physical LAN environment.

01

Physical site surveys & readiness

We review site access, racks, MDF/IDF spaces, power, equipment locations, existing connections and patching requirements. We capture inventories, photographs and agreed survey records, then identify readiness issues before deployment.

What this means for your business

Avoid preventable delays on migration day. Accurate site information helps the remote team finalise the plan, order the right materials and resolve access or physical constraints before the cutover.

02

Switch installation & Hands & Feet

We provide onsite assistance to rack and power switches, patch copper and fibre connections, connect console access and perform agreed power-on and physical checks. Configuration can be led by your network team or CFCR’s remote engineers, according to the agreed delivery model.

What this means for your business

Extend your remote team’s reach. Coordinated onsite execution helps deliver consistent physical work across sites without sending central engineering staff to every location.

03

Cutover, hypercare & handover

We support migrations in agreed change windows, including after-hours and weekend work, complete physical checks and assist remote validation. We provide agreed hypercare, port and patching updates and handover records. Cable supply can be included in the scope.

What this means for your business

Control transition risk and shorten troubleshooting cycles. A planned change window, onsite support and clear records help restore normal operations and make post-cutover issues easier to isolate.

A coordinated model for multi-site change

A clear division of responsibility keeps the field team, remote engineers and site stakeholders aligned.

Before the change

Agree site sequence, access, survey records, port maps, cable schedules, materials and change windows. Confirm that each site is ready before resources mobilise.

During the change

The onsite team performs agreed physical work and console assistance. The nominated remote engineering team leads approved configuration and technical cutover decisions.

After the change

Complete agreed checks, capture updated records, coordinate hypercare and close outstanding actions with a documented handover.

Site visits, staffing, travel, weekend windows, cable supply and hypercare are scoped for each programme. Routers, firewalls, WAN, access points, voice, UPS and PDU work are included only when expressly agreed.

Define success around your operations

We agree the requirements and acceptance criteria before implementation.

From your priorities to lasting performance

Start with the operational problem, agree what must be delivered and define the evidence needed for acceptance. We align the implementation and handover with those priorities so your teams can use and support the result.

Configure remotely. Validate locally. Stay supported.

Connect specialist remote engineering with onsite delivery and ongoing operational care.

Remote switch configuration

CFCR can configure switches through approved secure access: VLANs, trunking, link aggregation, spanning tree, management access, SNMP, logging, QoS and access controls. We review existing configurations, prepare backups and rollback plans, and execute approved changes in agreed maintenance windows.

Testing that follows the service

Validate port mappings, copper and fibre links, uplinks, VLAN reachability, PoE, endpoint connectivity and agreed resilience scenarios. Baseline and post-change checks help identify regressions. Document results, exceptions and acceptance against the agreed network design.

Managed LAN operations

Extend support through device availability monitoring, configuration backup and review, incident triage, firmware and lifecycle planning, capacity reviews and vendor escalation. Remote engineers coordinate onsite Hands & Feet when a physical intervention is required.

One delivery model, clear ownership

Choose onsite support alongside your network team, or engage CFCR for remote configuration, testing and ongoing management. We agree the responsibility matrix, access approvals, support hours, response targets and change controls before work begins.
